How the language in 'Rolling in the deep and Someone like you by Adele' can be universally relevant by emotional reference, structure and tone of the song?
I am going to look at 2 different songs by Adele, 'Rolling in the deep' & 'Someone Like You'. I will gather primary and secondary research, this coming from the people around me along with information drawn from the Internet.
My aim is to gain an understanding of how the impact of the power of language can have universally with an artists work. I want to break down the lyrics and notify the emotional references, look at the structure and also the mood the song is set in and how it is veiwed to others.
There's lots of potential in this idea.
ReplyDeleteOne thing to keep in mind is the meaning of your phrase "universally relevant" which is open to a number of interpretations. Can you be more precise about what it is you are seeking to investigate?
A way to address this element in your work is to create your questionnaire carefully so that you are clear about what you are asking your sample of students. When you have clear questions, you will have a more precise idea of what you are seeking to investigate.
Alternatively, you could focus on _exactly_ what it is that you wish to discover and then craft your questions to allow you to find out that information.
Either way, you need to develop your introduction and methodology so that your work can progress.
